A Blog Directory works very similar like Blog Search Engine. In Blog Directory, they categorize your Blog according to the category that you chosen. In return for the favor of listing your Blog for FREE in their directories (for most) , they require you to include a text link or a text banner in your Blog to link back to them.
Most Blog Directory require registration whereby you would need to provide them with name, email address, your Blog Title, URL and Description. I wouldn’t go into details for this cos I believe is pretty straightforward.
By just including your text link or banner in your Blog is not finished yet. You still need to check your email for the site to inform you whether your Blog listing is successful. If it has been declined, you need to look into the reason and rectify accordingly.
Note(s): Do not list Blog with pornographic or obscene contents else you will get declined. Pls read the rules carefully while registering.
Tips(s): Please select your category appropriately. Do not choose one that is totally irrelevant to your Blog. Visitors will get confused or uninterested easily.
In conclusion, by listing your Blog in these directories, you get better exposure in the Blogosphere.
